Visiting Cold Spring Boat Club

Over 3,000 people visit historic Cold Spring and its shops and restaurants after docking at the Cold Spring Boat Club each year. Cold Spring is one of the jewels of the Hudson Highlands and a village loaded with charming shops and a great variety of restaurants and we welcome guest boaters to make use of the outside portion of our docks to stop by and visit our town. The Cold Spring Boat Club is a member-supported club, however, and use of its' facilities is restricted to club members and their guests except for the docking and launching privileges that we extend to visitors as outlined below.

How to Find Us

By Land
The Cold Spring Boat Club is located at the intersection of West and New Streets in Cold Spring. Follow 301 West, which becomes Main Street in Cold Spring, to where it deadends at the railroad tracks. Turn left on Lunn Terrace, following it over the bridge over the railroad tracks. At the stop sign, turn right on Market Street and follow it two blocks to lower Main Street. Turn left on Main Street, then left again on West Street. The entrance to the club is straight ahead, one block down West Street. Non-members are requested not to park inside the club gates. There is parking on New Street adjacent to the club.


By Boat
The Cold Spring Boat Club is located at Longitude 41 24' 54"N Latitude73 57' 40"W, on the east bank of the Hudson River just north of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and immediately south of the Cold Spring town dock. Boats 30 ft and under are welcome to dock on the outside of the Cold Spring Boat Club docks on a first come, first served basis. There are no facilities. WARNING: Several hundred feet S/SW of the Cold Spring Boat Club is the remanants of a sunken island and dock. Use extreme care when approaching from this direction.

Docking at Cold Spring Boat Club


There is limited docking for boats 30 ft and under on the outside of the Cold Spring Boat Club docks. Boats are welcome to dock there free of charge on a first come, first served basis. There is a $1.00/ft. fee for overnight docking. Skippers are asked to sign in with the dock master or club member on arrival. There are no facilities at the club, but the many resturants and shops of Cold Spring's business district are a short three block walk from the club. Cold Spring is one of the jewels of the Hudson Highlands and we encourage you to explore the town and it's many shops and resturants. Launching your boat at the Cold Spring Boat Club


Residents of Phillipstown may use the Cold Spring Boat Club launch ramp to launch their boats free of charge. Other boaters are welcome to use the club ramp to launch their boat for a fee of $15.00.
